National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy
The National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy is based at the University of London's Institute of Education. It conducts research into teaching methods and professional development in basic skills and provides a wide range of resources.
Numeracy Workout
The Numeracy Workout interactive CDs are designed to challenge, engage and motivate students, reinforcing learning through a variety of task: games, drag & drops, text enrty, multiple choice, sorting tasks, quizes, memory tasks, etc. All tasks are differentiated.
Parents Plus
The Parents Plus Programmes are practical evidence- based parenting courses designed to support and empower parents to manage and solve discipline problems, to create satisfying and enjoyable family relationships and to help children and young people grow up and reach their full potential. The Parents Plus and Working Things Out Programmes have been developed in partnership with Irish parents, children and adolescents, and specifically include their experience in the video clips and throughout the materials.
PBIS World
PBIS World website contains links to hundreds of interventions, supports, resources, and data collection tools, all of which are organised into 3 tiers of support - school wide interventions, targeted group interventions and individual inteventions. It is designed to help with behaviour identification and offer suggestions for interventions and data collection tools.
PBS Teachers
PBS Teachers provides educational resources and classroom materials suitable for a wide range of subjects and US grade levels. The site contains lesson plans, teaching activities and interactive games and simulations.
PDST
The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) provides support to primary and post primary schools on a regional basis and work in close co-operation with the Education Centre network to respond to needs identified by schools. PDST also offers school leaders and teachers a range of supports in implementing the National Strategy to Improve Literacy and Numeracy.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
The Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) site provides the organisational models, demonstrations, dissemination, and evaluation tools needed to implement PBIS in schools.
Project REACH
Project REACH is a (US) National Center, funded by the Office of Special Education Programs for 5 years, to work with students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The site offers links to research literature, lesson plans and strategies for promoting positive behaviour and finding from the project’s longitudinal research study.

Rapid Plus is a series of finely levelled books for struggling readers. The series comprises Reading Books, Assessment Books and Teaching Guides. The Rapid Plus online software allows students to practise their reading skills independently, helping to build fluency and improve comprehension.
