Mission Statement
The National Behaviour Support Service is committed to engage with post primary schools to promote and support positive student behaviour.
Our Guiding Principles
- Respect for the on-going work of schools
- Belief that schools make a difference
- Recognition that behaviour is intrinsically linked to teaching and learning
- Awareness of inclusion as a core educational value
NBSS Believes That...
- By learning to behave appropriately every student can experience success in the school community
- Unacceptable student behaviour can improve with appropriate support
- School staff should be able to access support and assistance to develop strategies and interventions
Sharing learning and best practice across schools is central to how the NBSS carries out it work.
