Welcome to the NBSS
The National Behaviour Support Service (NBSS) was established by the Minister of Education & Science, Mary Hanafin T.D., in 2006 in response to the recommendation in "School Matters", the report of the Task Force on Student Behaviour in Second Level Schools, 2006.
The work of the NBSS is carried out by a multi-disciplinary professional team comprising a National Co-ordinator, Assistant National Co-ordinators, Psychologists, Regional Development Officers, Literacy Development Officer, Research and Development Officer and Associates.
At present, the NBSS is working with 50 Post Primary Schools.
